I have a grandson.

Saying that still feels unreal in the best possible way. Holding him for the first time did something to me that no business milestone ever has. It slowed me down. It widened my view. It reminded me, very clearly, what actually matters.

My heart is full of gratitude. Full of appreciation for the gifts God gives, often when we are not expecting them. Especially when we are not expecting them.

And oddly enough, that moment made me more excited than ever about the work I do and the year ahead.

Because 2026 feels different.

Not louder. Not faster. More intentional.

I believe 2026 will be the year of AI systems and purpose.

AI in your business and mine is not just about making more revenue. Revenue matters, but it is not the point. AI is leverage. It is learning. It is a way to remove friction so we can focus on the work that only humans can do.

When systems run smoothly, people can think clearly. When default tasks are handled, leaders can lead. When the business is not constantly demanding attention, life opens up again.

Good businesses are built around a mission. That mission should align with a deeper purpose. The problem is that most companies do not fail because of bad intentions. They drift because their systems pull them away from what they care about most.

Email here. Spreadsheet there. Fire drills everywhere.

AI changes that.

AI can automate the default work. The repeatable tasks. The things that must get done but do not require your best thinking. When those systems are in place, the business starts to support the mission instead of competing with it.

That is why AI is not just a tool. It is infrastructure.

Most companies will default to their base systems. Not their goals. Not their values. Their systems. If the systems are weak, the business struggles. If the systems are strong, the business has room to grow.

My mission is simple. I help business owners build systems that allow their businesses to grow without consuming their lives. AI is the foundation of that work because it allows good intentions to actually stick.

I want businesses to be successful by default.

Becoming a grandparent sharpened that mission for me. When I look at my grandson, I do not think about hustle. I think about legacy. I think about building something sustainable. Something that serves people well. Something that leaves room for life.

That is what excites me about 2026.

Not just better tools, but better use of them. Creative ways to implement AI that help businesses thrive while becoming more focused, more human, and more purpose-driven.

AI will keep evolving. That part is certain. The real question is how we choose to use it.

To chase more noise.

Or to create more space.

As this year begins, I am grateful. I am motivated. And I am more committed than ever to helping business owners build systems that work quietly in the background so they can show up fully for what matters most.

For their teams.

For their customers.

For their families.

And for the future we are building, one system at a time.
